Winner of the American Society of Furniture Designers 2004 Pinnacle Award for
Best Designed Furniture Collection.
Inspired by the World and crafted by Lane Home Furnishings. This collection of
bedroom, dining room, living room and entertainment products was inspired by the
National Geographic explorers who have for more than a century traveled the
world in search of its wonders. Their missions of exploration, research,
education and conservation have taken them to every continent and country on
Earth. We hope you enjoy the world's creations and the special style and
sensibilities of the cultural origins in your own home. The National Geographic
Home Collection features two distinct but blendable styles of furniture that we
call West Indies and Tropic Winds. Three rich and beautiful wood finishes,
burnished mahogany, antiqued ebony and weathered maple create a landscape for
you to begin your very own collections of worldly wonders. Welcome to the
National Geographic Collection.
The West Indies collection. Inspired by National Geographic's archives of 18th-
and early 19th-century West Indian design. This truly unique collection merges
the distinct influences of French, English, and Dutch to create a line of
timelessly elegant home furnishings. Rich mahogany in bold proportions
transforms traditional European designs with the special spirit and rhythm of
the Caribbean. Meticulously hand-carved detailing mimics Victorian and French
patterns crafted from the finest material. Let National Geographic's West Indies
collection inspire your home.
