The West Indies collection. Inspired by National Geographic's archives of 18th-
and early 19th-century West Indian design. This truly unique collection merges
the distinct influences of French, English, and Dutch to create a line of
timelessly elegant home furnishings. Rich mahogany in bold proportions
transforms traditional European designs with the special spirit and rhythm of
the Caribbean. Meticulously hand-carved detailing mimics Victorian and French

coating to ensure long time resistance
against tarnish or rust All wood parts are manufactured
using only quality kiln dried lumber with
strict controls placed towards moisture
content All wood joints are fully glued
and are assembled utilizing mortise
and tenon construction Framed seats are constructed by
use of corner blocks and
braces on all corners. All padded seats meet or exceed
UFAC requirements All chairs are equipped with
glides on the bottom to prevent
marring or scratching floors Seat bottoms are designed to be
removable so that customers
may reupholster using their own custom
fabrics and colors All chair constructions must pass
a rigorous strength test called the
Lane Rocking Test wherein heavy weights are
strapped to the seat and
the chair is subjected to fierce rocking
for a minimum of 3,000 cycles with
no loose joints being acceptable at the
