Much like our remembrances of the past, this collection of fine Tibetan rugs includes patterns that are poignant, comforting, and anything but forgettable.

Memories have the power to remind us of the past while inspiring and assuring us that there are more good times to come. Like remembering a first kiss or precious times spent with family and friends, the Memories collection was designed to elicit visions of past times. As fresh as suddenly recalling a forgotten pleasant memory, these rugs offer an interesting and diverse blend of colors and patterns. The intricate and clever designs of the Memories collection allow you to get lost in an assortment of hues, from pale yellow to deep, rich reds and blues.

This grand but subtle collection is made with 100% Himalayan sheep wool and hand knotted in Tibet with a special semi-dye, providing the exceptional quality you’ve come to expect. The Creation Of A Rug:
    The Wool
        Only 100% pure Himalayan sheep wool is used in this rug which is considered
         to be the best in the world for it's texture and strength.
        Himalayan sheep wool is lustrous, stain resistant, flexible and strong enough to
         withstand furniture pressure marks.
 

    Carding
        Highly skilled weavers "Hand Card" the wool into strands which helps
         maintain the raw strength and flexibility inherent in Himalayan sheep wool.
        After carding, the wool is spun by hand to create the yarn for the rugs and
         prepared for coloration.

   
    Dyeing
        Only 100% natural vegetable dyes from materials such as tree barks,
         root leaves, and fruit peels are used to produce colors that are natural
         and pleasing to the eye.

    Weaving
        This Tibetan rug is woven on a wooden vertical loom with a warp which runs
          the entire length of the rug.
        The weaving process is meticulously performed by highly-skilled weavers
          in Tibet.
        This rug is hand-knotted to ensure quality and a distinctiveness that allows
          for longer wear, more soil resistant and ease of cleaning compared to
          machine-made rugs.

    Smoothing
        A traditional Tibetan process of smoothing allows the thickness of the
         wool to be adjusted.

        The fringes are set after the smoothing has been completed.

   
    Washing
        The rug is washed multiple times using solutions which soften,
          improve luster and the feeling of the yarn and improve the color-fastness
          of the vegetable-dyed yarn.

    Finalizing
        To add a unique and final touch, designs are Hand-Carved onto the
          rug surface.

    Ensuring Quality
        Each rug is checked multiple times by the detail-oriented quality
         control team of Tibetan weavers.
