The back and sides are padded adding increased comfort. The Brookland daybed is constructed with a hardwood frame that is fully upholstered with bi-cast leather. All daybeds require a link spring which will support the mattress instead of a boxspring and will allow the daybed to accommodate a trundle if needed. The link spring needed is a standard twin size which is available at any local bedding store.
