Broyhill Upholstered Furniture meets and exceeds in industry standards. When looking for your next Upholstered purchase, consider the following details to assure quality and durability.
Sturdy Framing
Look for Interlocking Wood Frames instead of planks of plywood nailed at right angels. The interlocking joints guarantee lasting stability.
Comfortable Cushion Backs
Cushions with multiple compartments keep fiber evenly distributed and prevent sagging and becoming disfigured. Tight tailoring on backs should have a solid layer of foam and topped with fiber.
Durable Fabric
Always make sure the fabric meets or exceeds furniture industry standards. Wear and rub tests are usually performed to test how quickly a fabric will tear, snag, or become loose.
Detailed Fit and Tailoring
Seams and welts (cords) should be straight and never wavy. Corners should be snug and smooth. Wrinkling in the corners means the cushion does not conform inside the fabric and leaves gaps.
Long Lasting Seat Cushions
Broyhill uses a layer of soy-based foam which is comfortable and supportive. DuraCoil incorporates coil technology encased within the soy-based foam containing individually wrapped springs; like those found in pillow top mattresses. DuraCoil paired with the soy-based foam creates a long lasting cushion that will maintain its shape and comfort.
No-Sag Springs
In order for the sinuous spring system to retain its composure it should be at least an 8.5 gauge steel and connect to solid hardwood rails with an L-shaped bracket. Most furniture companies attach the spring to plywood with a flat clip which leads to sagging, warping or even twisting.
Sustainability Practices
Environmentally-friendly products such as SFI certified lumber, soy-based foam and recycled steel are used throughout the Broyhill Upholstered items. You?ll sit comfortably while your mind is at ease knowing future generations have been considered.
